  • What is something people in Aged Care have to deal with that you want to fix?

    Losing independence and confidence in their own abilities. It is so important to be able to help enable people to keep their independence and maintain confidence to continue living independently and enjoy their life.

  • What do you do at Sunrise?

    My role at Sunrise Home Care is to work alongside the Director of Care and the Registered Nurses to ensure delivery of services to the consumer is best practice and aligned with the consumer care plans. My role is to educate and support all our Home Care field workers by facilitating training and in house education where needed.

  • What is your past experience for working in your position?

    I have been an EEN for 17 years. I began my career at Manning Base Hospital and worked there for 10 years as a surgical nurse. I moved out west to a small town called Warren where I worked at the MPS until moving back to the area this year.

    I grew up in Foster and moved from the area for 8 ½ years and returned back to the area to be closer to our family.

    Honesty, respect, communication, and Accountability

  • Your top 3 favourite Books?

    I can’t pick 3, but I do love true crime and easy to read romance novels.

  • What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?

    Spending time with my husband, our 3 daughters and our extended family. My girls love the beach, so we are looking forward to spending our first Summer back in the area at the beach, maybe doing some camping with friends.
